The Cycles of Life
Julia Ray
The theme will be about cycles, and how sustaining anything, no matter how desirable, isn’t always good.
This factors into stuff outside our personal lives, like in seasonal change – the way the one we’re in now gives us a much better Spring, Summer and Fall than if Winter never existed in the first place.
So too, can it factor into our personal lives – like moods and interpersonal relationships. For example, without ‘sad’, you can’t appreciate ‘happy’ so much. Being “at the top” is neither permanently sustainable, nor should it be.
So too, we create these musical sets as a rise up and rise down, more like a journey up and down a mountain. You likely wouldn’t want to spend the whole time at the summit or at the base, or somewhere in the middle.
